Did You Know That Arugula and Red Peppers...

The other day I was reading an article on super foods that are rich in bone building calcium and vitamins, they listed arugula. Guess who had that green bag of leaves in their selection of greens in the refrigerator? We did. I bought a pack of arugula to toss on our homemade pizza. However, I was immensely proud that we had a bad of arugula - as we often have it by default with the Spring Mix package. In addition to the vitamins, arugula is also rich with anti oxidants and minerals. It detoxifies the body, it is low in calories and aids in weight loss, improves our vision (eyes), relieves the symptoms of osteoporosis, strengthens bones and teeth, reduces risk of heart disease and aging, helps to prevent birth defects during pregnancy, increases the metabolism.
What do we use arugula for?

  • Salads
  • Homemade pizza topping
and we are exploring other recipes to add our arugula.

The next article I read was on Red Peppers (totally giddy😉) we have that too. We have our source of potassium, which also contains over thirty different antioxidants and is packed with vitamins. The family is headed in the right direction, eating the right foods.
Red peppers are in so many of our foods -

  • Salads
  • Homemade pizza topping
  • Eggs (omelette)
  • Chicken
  • Salmon
  • Beef Stew
  • Ground Beef
  • Shrimp
  • Pastas

It is absolutely fantastic!!!
