As the Pescatarian World Turns!

Last week, I was away at a five day conference. The thing about being at some conferences is finding the right food choices, especially now that we are in the pescatarian phase. While my King has the opportunity to select the choices that we have stocked at home, my choices is a bit limited.

The pescatarian diet is one that offers more choices than the vegan and vegetarian diet. However, there were some days when my meals were closer to the vegan or vegetarian side. Some meal options offered salmon while most days only offered chicken, steak or the other white meat - pork.

It was actually a cool experience. I had fruits and pastries for breakfast, creamy pastas and soups, salads and lots of carbs (bread with just about every meal) potatoes, and vegetables. Every hour was accounted for and the meals were set up for our choosing. The drink choices were unsweetened ice tea, water and choices of coffees or teas.

Thankfully, every morning, I made sure that I kick started it with a 5:00 AM workout at the gym. The morning meetings began as early as 7:00 AM and ended between 10:00 - 11:00 PM.

Now that I am back at home base, the weather is giving us some reprieve from the left over wintry mix. The sun is shining, the temperatures are warming up and the call for daily runs is more appealing. We are on our final week of the pescatarian diet - there's so much to be said about our experience. Stay tuned.
