Sunday... Funday... Vegan Day

Block Heads
Ally enjoys hanging out with her friends and on occasion, they have shared their happy meals and happy hour at Blockheads. They serve Mexican food (the healthy version). I checked it out online and was immediately excited to check it out. They actually have a VEGAN  section boldly highlighted in green as I have also illustrated. It was settled, tonight's dinner will be served to us by Blockheads

One look at the menu and you will see that there are some really good selections there. Ally, Autumn and I had a late lunch there. Ally ordered the Vegan Seitan Burrito which serves arugula, thai peanut sauce, tofu, vegan cheese on a whole wheat tortilla, Autumn had the non vegan chicken taco and I ordered the Vegan Quesadilla Grande which serves beans, brown rice, guacamole, jalapenos, salsa and vegan cheese - it also has a mini version that comes with salad. However, I chose to go Grande.

We placed our trust in the chef and waited to experience our vegan meals. Ally found her Vegan Seitan Burrito rather spicy and Autumn also mentioned that her chicken taco was too spicy. The chicken taco was very small, an adult can eat it in two bites, Autumn could not finish hers. Meanwhile, I was taking a bite out of my Vegan Quesadilla and loving it. I offered some to Autumn and she actually enjoyed it too. We placed an order for my King who wanted the Vegan Seitan Bowl - arugula, thai peanut sauce, tofu, vegan cheese over brown rice. While he also mentioned that it was spicy, he enjoyed his dinner.

What was fascinating to us, the vegan cheese actually tastes like cheese. I need to get to the bottom of this, how is that possible?

Dinner Rating ⭐⭐⭐✩ (rating based as I was the only one who thoroughly enjoyed my meal)
